How to Avoid Heat Damage
Heat damaged hair is no joking matter. Heat damage is one of the leading causes of hair loss, split ends, and dull looking hair. All of which are unpleasant options that will leave us feeling highly dissatisfied with our hair. Let us examine some of the root causes of hair damage; pun intended!
What Causes Heat Damage
In one of previous blogs, we discussed the benefits of using ceramic flat irons and other tools that heat evenly. When a heat styling tool does not heat evenly, it is highly likely that some parts of your hair will remain kinky, while other sections of your hair end up getting burned. Using your blow dryer or curler on a very high heat setting is another surefire way to end up damaging your hair.
Styling your hair with heat too often is another dangerous option. Last but not least, hair that has already been weakened by a poor diet is far more likely to suffer from heat damage. Thankfully, there is a lot that you can do to avoid suffering the ills of heat damaged hair.
